Check out the My Memories giveaway by My Special K's

So my friend Renee over at Life With My Special Ks is having a giveaway going on right now until September 20th. She's giving away the software for free for My Memories. And what that is is an online scrapbooking site which you can get printed out.

Now I love scrapbooking, but don't really have the patience for cutting and gluing. So whatever sites I can find where I can make a scrapbook page makes me happy. And with Alyssa's birthday coming up (people it's less than 5 months away) I need to get to work on her scrapbook to go into her time capsule. Hey, it's not like I have any other kids birthdays coming up. Oh wait, there's CJ in November ;). No need to worry I haven't forgotten about him and the wheels are turning for his birthday as well. Hey, those that know me wouldn't be surprised to know that my wheels are always turning when it comes to planning my children's next birthday party. So really no need to fret.

But anyways, seriously you should go enter this giveaway because there are a ton of scrapbook pages for this. I think I could have fun with it.

A Tween Girl Giveaway

My friend Renee went to a special event with her 11 year old daughter last night. The Secret Keeper Girl event which is going around the country helping girls to see that they have inner beauty and not just outward beauty. It looks like it was a very fun evening for mom and daughter. And while she was there she had purchased some parenting books and ended up picking up a few extra to do a giveaway. Jumpstart Get Moving Family Fitness Giveaway

I was recently asked to review a new Wii game by Jumpstart. They also gave me the opportunity to give away a copy to one of my lucky readers. Middle Grade Authors

As the mom of two girls between the ages of 8 and 12 when I came across this new blog about middle grade authors I said this is for me. And then I realized they are also giving away free books! Free books! Who can say no to that? I want free books. My kids want free books. I know my oldest will devour these books and eventually I hope my younger daughter would too. Stayed up way too late

So I figured we'd have a snow day today and I was right. It didn't get called until this morning though. So the girls were up at their usual time (7) waiting to hear if they had school or not. That of course in turn wakes CJ up. So everyone is up. Joe had to be at work for 8. And I knew this would be how the day played out. However, I stayed up way too late last night. I actually fell asleep on the couch around midnight or so. Then CJ woke me up shortly before 2 crying. He couldn't find his pacifier and of course I couldn't find one either. So he's of course screaming as I'm frantically looking for one. Boy does that wake you up. I finally found one though and he settled back down. I went to the bathroom and got my pj's on and climbed into bed, but now I was awake again. I couldn't fall asleep. So I got back up and started entering Bloggy Giveaways from the Bloggy Carnival. I did that until 4 in the morning. Not my brightest idea, but I wasn't sleepy. And I still had a hard time falling asleep when I went back to bed. So three hours later and I'm up for the day. Got all three kids here. I'll try to catch some zzzz's when CJ goes down for a nap at 10 though. Well, probably not since my landlord is supposed to come up then to work on the now extremely broken toilet. He better fix it today too that's all I know because if he doesn't I might just lose it. And believe me on no sleep that would not be pretty.

Baking cookies.

Well, not so much the baking part, but the giving of my homemade cookies. I love to hear peoples reactions. And I got some good ones this year. My new white chocolate raspberry cheesecake bars were a huge hit. My husband's response was, "These are awesome!" It doesn't get much better than that. He generally isn't that excited about many of my treats. I know shocking, but hey he has more of a salt tooth than a sweet tooth most of the time. They are all gone. I just might have to make more. I love finding out what everyone's favorites are.
