Are you Naughty or Nice

Do you wanna know if you made it on Santa's Naughty or Nice list this year? Then click here to find out. See how we did with our behavior this year. Always room for improvement I guess.

Me: Nice, but with a few naughty marks. Neatness needs improvement. Behavior has been good sometimes, not so good other times. Manners could still use some attention. Was very nice last Monday.
I don't know what it was I did last Monday, but I'm sure glad I did it. My neatness is very lacking this month I'm afraid.

Joe: Nice, with a few exceptions. Needs to be nice to everyone not just friends. Could try a little harder when things are tough. Good sense of humor. Made list last year. Needs to be good all December.
Ahhh, so Joe. Way nicer to friends than strangers. Better shape up Joe or you'll make it on the naughty list.

Natalie: Nice, but has naughty lapses. High marks in the good deeds department. Better than average manners. Hopefully, thoughtfulness will continue to be as good as last month. Neatness needs improvement!
Yes Natalie, no locking your sister in the closet this month.

Kaitlyn: Has been nice most of the year (not just near Christmas)! Makes others happy. Could share a little more, however. Politeness is sometimes very good. Can be great listener.
Not so sure about the listening. I guess maybe in school she's a great listener, or so they seem to think.

Christopher: Overall, niceness outweighs naughtiness. Was good a lot last month! Politeness often good, but has room for improvement. Could help around house more instead of watching so much TV. Expected to move even higher up "nice" list.
This didn't sound much like CJ. After all he doesn't watch much TV. How can he, he's 2? So I thought maybe Santa didn't realize that Christopher is CJ. So I tried with his nickname instead and here's what I got...

CJ: Has been nice most of the year (not just near Christmas)! Makes others happy. Could share a little more, however. Politeness is sometimes very good. Can be great listener.
Now that sounds more like him. He definitely could share more than he does. He is 2 after all. But he can be very polite. With the "peas" and "thanky" often.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

How do you celebrate St. Patty's day? Do you just wear your green? Do you get all into it with corned beef and cabbage for dinner and green beer?

I just wear the green. I don't like corned beef and cabbage or beer ;). Perhaps there will be some green in our dinner tonight though ;). Like green mashed potatoes. Won't that be fun?

Me and Joe, the Couple

♥ Fill it out and let's learn about you and your better half! (I got this from Renee's blog.)

♥ What are your middle names?
Mine: Lee
His: William

♥ How long have you been together?
Married 9 years on March 4th. As a couple it will be 11 years in May.

♥ How long did you know each other before you started dating?
Probably 3 months before we started dating the first time, but that was only a few months we dated for. So the one that stuck I guess we knew each other for almost a year.

♥ Who asked who out?
Well, we were kind of hanging out as friends the first time I guess so it was kind of a mutual plan to go out. I think I asked him out the second time because I was the one that broke it off the first time.

He said it first.

♥ How old are each of you?
I am 30
he is 37

♥ Who's siblings do/did you see the most?
His, my brother isn't close by and when he was he never had a way of getting to us or a place we'd want to set foot in.

♥ Do you have any children together?
yep... 3 of them 2 girls and a boy.

♥ What about pets?
We have two gerbils, but those are really the girls.

♥ Did you go to the same schools?

♥ Where was your first date?
We went to the pool hall and then a movie, but I don't remember what movie and his brother was with us.

Which 80's Song are You?

Your 80s Song is "Walk Like an Egyptian"

If you were transported back to the 80s, your life would be all about having fun.

You love the wackiness that the 80s represented. Everything back then seemed a lot more colorful!

You'd peg your jeans, get a "totally tubular" hair cut, and even wear one sequined glove.

You would skateboard, play Pac-Man, and hang out at the mall. And of course, you would walk like an egyptian.

Google Search Results

So I saw this on another blog and thought I would try it out. You put your name into a google search like this:

Type in "[your name] needs" in the Google search.
Monica needs another dress washed (ain't that the truth?)

Type in "[your name] looks like" in Google search.
Monica looks like a weasel face. (Gee, thanks. I hope I don't really look like that.)

Type in "[your name] says" in Google search.
Monica Says No More Panhandling While Seated. (That's right! Don't be a lazy panhandler.)

Type in "[your name] wants" in Google search.
Monica wants to come back to the silver screen. (Sounds okay to me.)

Type in "[your name] does" in Google search.
Monica Does hair too. (Yeah, not really.)

Type in "[your name] hates" in Google search.
Monica hates veterans (This is just simply not true. And frankly rather mean!)

Type in "[your name] asks" in Google search.
Monica asks Portugal government for shelter. (Not so sure that I want to live in Portugal, but hey if they'll provide shelter I'll give it a try.)

Type in "[your name] likes " in Google search
Monica likes to be with babies. (Sure, most of the time.)

Type in "[your name] eats " in Google search.
Monica Eats Cake! (Yup, I do and probably too much of it too.)

Type in "[your name] wears " in Google search.
Monica wears leather gloves. (Nope, I honestly hate wearing gloves, but the few pairs that I own are not leather. Maybe I would wear gloves if they were leather.)

Type in "[your name] was arrested for" in Google Search.
Monica was arrested for growing medical marijuana. (I really don't know what to say to this.)

Type in "[your name] goes" in Google search.
Monica goes to the zoo. (Sure, I've been to the zoo before.)

Now wasn't that fun? If you decide to try it too let me know what you get in your search.

Remembering 2008

1) Did you have to go to the hospital at all in 08? Why?
Yes, in February for CJ when he was in the hospital for five days due to failure to thrive. Then again December 5 to give birth and say goodbye to Celeste.

2) Did you have any encounters with the police?
Nope

3) Did you go on vacation? Where?
Yes. We went to Philadelphia over the summer for a day and then stayed with a friend in MD that night.

4) Did you know anybody who passed away?
Yes, Celeste

5) Did you move or remodel?
Nope

6) What concerts/shows did you go to?
None and I think the only movie we even went to was Bedtime Stories on Christmas Day. No wait, we went to the drive in theater and saw Journey to the Center of the Earth and Batman.

7) When you think back on all of 2008, what stands out for you?
Hmmmm, it's been a rough year. I'm looking forward to a better 2009, but I guess the thing that stands out the most is the loss of my pregnancy and Celeste.

8) What was/are your most memorable moment(s)?
Celebrating CJ's 1st birthday. Unfortunately the thing I will probably remember most though about 2008 is December 6, 2008 when I gave birth and said goodbye all in the same moment to my daughter Celeste Alia.

9.) What's something you learned about yourself?
I can experience a great tragedy, but still pull it together for my children.

10.) Any new additions to your extended family?
My cousin's live in boyfriend Kevin. Hopefully 2009 brings a proposal for her too.

11.) What music will you remember 2008 by?
I'm not up to date on music these days.

12) Who has been your best drinking buddy?
I don't drink.

13) Made new friends?
No

14) Any regrets?
Way too many. I regret most not finding out I was pregnant earlier because I will always wonder if that could have saved my pregnancy.

15) What are your wishes for 2009?
I wish that things could improve in my relationship with my parents and that we all stay happy and healthy this year. No more death and no more hospital visits for any of us.

16) Anything you want to add?
Here's to a way better 2009 than 2008!

31 Things...

Somehow I knew as I was reading Erin's Blog that she was going to tag me for this project. And sure enough as I got to the end there was my name. So here are my answers to these 31 things...

31 Things....
1. Where is your cell phone? Right here next to me on my desk in hopes that it rings with either an RSVP for CJ's party or my PTA VP finally calls me back about getting the pumpkins to the school tonight.

2. Where is your significant other? At his new job working his butt off. Poor guy has been getting maybe 4 hours of sleep with a cold and working 19 hour days.

3. Your hair color? When I was little it was strawberry blonde, but now it's more brown with red highlights.

4. Your mother? Patricia

5. Your father? Peter

6.Your favorite thing? Family Time. We don't get a lot of it so we have to make the most of it when we're all together.

7. Your dream last night? I don't often remember my dreams and last night was no different.

8. Your dream/goal? Well, my dream is more for my kids that they grow up healthy and happy and become good adults and are happy in their lives.

9. The room you're in? living room watching CJ crawl around and get into EVERYTHING.

10. Your hobby? A little bit of this and a little bit of that, hehehehe. I guess mostly baking and blogging.

11. Your fear? leaving my kids without a mother, heights, and snakes.

12.Where do you want to be in six years? I'd like to at least own my own home in 6 years. Maybe here in CT, maybe somewhere else. As long as I'm with my hubby and my kids I'm good.

13. Where were you last night? Just hanging out at home. Joe was working and we're down to one car so I couldn't go anywhere.

14. What you’re not? Skinny

15. One of your wish list items? to have my own car again.

16. Where you grew up? Trumbull, CT

17. The last thing you did? Walked the girls to school and baby it's cold outside.

18What are you wearing? Sweatpants and a sweatshirt and sneakers

19. Your TV? A JVC 28 inch I think

20. Your pet? no pets

21. Your computer? Compaq Presario

22. Your mood? tired

23. Missing someone? Right now my husband and the girls.

.24.Your car? Right now my car is Joe's car which is a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am. Impressive that it has less than 40,000 miles on it.

.25. Something you’re not wearing? Hmmm, I guess I'm not wearing a lot of things. Like anything sexy because who has time for that with three kids, I'm not wearing makeup and usually don't, I'm not wearing my contacts anymore because I need to get new ones, but that's another thing I don't have the money for right now. I could probably go on and on here.

26. Favorite store? JC Penney

27. Your summer? Busy, but fun with lots of neat little trips. One to Six Flags and one to Philly

28.. Love someone? Of course, lots of someones.

29. Your favorite color? blue

30.When is the last time you laughed? Hmmm, probably yesterday when the kids did something funny.

31. Last time you cried? I don't really remember, it's been a while.

And there you have it 31 Things. I'm not tagging anyone, but if you want to do this too feel free to.

What's this Blog Rated?

OnePlusYou Quizzes and Widgets

This was based on the fact that the word kill appeared in my blog once. Ooops, now it's twice ;). I hope that didn't change my rating.

Happy Labor Day

Hey, why not talk about our labor and deliveries on Labor day? Sounds like fun. So when I read that Rocks in My Dryer was hosting this little game I figured why not? So here are the stats on my Labor and Deliveries for my three kids.

How long were your labors?
Natalie: 2 hours from the time my water was broken. I'm really not sure beyond that. I was contracting for some time, but apparently didn't know it.

Kaitlyn: Again 2 hours from the time they broke my water. I did feel some contractions with her before then, but really I could have gone about my normal activities. So I count from the time I actually truly felt the contractions.

CJ: Well, I was having contractions for weeks. Not terrible, but I was in and out of the hospital a couple of times because of them. It was more of a precautionary thing though to make sure I didn't get into full blown labor with him being breech. I had a planned c-section and really didn't have a labor with him.

How did you know you were in labor?
Natalie: The doctor told me, hahahahaha. I went in for my 40 week check up with her and my bp was up so they sent me to the hospital. By the time I got there my bp was down, but they had put me on the monitors and I was contracting every 5 minutes. Who knew? I know you all hate me, hahahaha. So they checked me and I was five almost 6 centimeters. So I wasn't going anywhere. I walked the halls and watched women doubled over in pain stopping every few minutes, but I felt nothing. I was playing cards with Joe and my mom when the midwife came in and decided to break my water. Then woe baby that hurt. I felt it instantly and there was no break.

Kaitlyn: Joe told me I was in labor. Okay, I know that sounds weird. The day I went into the hospital with her we had been shopping all day. So that night we were just relaxing playing a game on the computer and Joe noticed every five minutes or so my face would change. He kept asking if I was okay. I said I was fine. So he started timing my face changes. Sure enough it was a steady every five minutes. So giving how quickly I had Natalie and the hospital we needed to go to was half an hour away we figured we best give the doctor a call. He told us to go in. We got there and I was put on monitors and my contractions were every three minutes and again I was 5 centimeters dilated. However, they actually told me I still might not stay. I guess I wasn't in enough pain for them. Again I walked the halls with no pain while other women were in pain. Finally they broke my water at midnight and Kaitlyn was born at 2:10 a.m.

CJ: He was a scheduled c-section. I was having contractions the entire time they were prepping me though. They were pretty good contractions, but again I wasn't feeling much pain.

Where did you deliver?
Natalie: St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT

Kaitlyn: Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT

CJ: New Britain General in New Britain, CT

Drugs?
Natalie: None, it all happened too quick

Kaitlyn: None, I was determined not to after having an 8 pound 12 ounce baby naturally I thought for sure I could handle this one naturally and I did and she was bigger ;).

CJ: I had no choice but to get a spinal since I had to have that c-section. I wouldn't have wanted to try that without pain meds.

C-Section?
Just CJ and only because he was breech. I could have tried to turn him, but thankfully we didn't. Otherwise he would have been born at 36 weeks instead of 39 weeks because he had the cord wrapped around his neck twice. So thankfully I didn't have to have an emergency c-section and it was a planned c-section. Still very nerve wracking and I do still have pain if I hit the incision just right 10 months later.

Who delivered?
Natalie: A midwife that I can't remember the name of. She was on call and I had never met her before.

Kaitlyn: Again I ended up with the on call doctor. I think his name was Dr. Allen. I had never met him before either. Hey, those doctors aren't present too much anyways, right? There was a point when I felt something cold and I said to him what are you doing, hahahaha? He was giving me a local so he could do an episiotomy. That ticked me off. My doctor at the time was Dr. Riskin and I wish he were there he was so great. He came in later that day and was like oh I guess I forgot to give you my private number. Apparently he gave that out to his patients when they got close so he could be the one to deliver them. Oh well, what can you do?

CJ: Dr. Kerrigan. She was probably my best. I really wish I could have experienced a vaginal birth with her. Oh and she was very pregnant herself when CJ was born. Another doctor joked that he'd have to roll her into the operating room.

So those were the stories of my labors. I know you all hate me for not feeling my contractions till I was halfway through. I never would have guessed that I had such a high threshold for pain, believe me.

Some Fun Quizzes and Other Stuff

I found this stuff on another blog I read and of course I could not resist. Give them a try yourself. And if you do please leave me a comment telling me to come check out your blog if you post it. I'd love to see how others rate in these quizzes.

You Are Aurora! (A.K.A. Sleeping Beauty.)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Thoughtful and loving. Authority figures probably have been sheltering you all of your life. Thankfully you're a very tranquil person who is content with what life has given you, but secretly you want to know how the outside world works.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

I don't think I agree with this about myself...

Your Response is: Stay Calm

You don't have much of a fight or flight response.

In fact, you rather do neither. You don't like getting worked up.

You are able to approach most threats calmly and rationally.

You don't let your emotions get the best of you!

And to find out what the number 1 song was any day of the year dating back to the 1890's check it out here.

Here are mine.

My Birthday
"You Needed Me" by Anne Murray
(huh, I wonder if this was how my mom felt when I was born?)

Joe's Birthday
"Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian)" by Paul Revere & the Raiders
(Am I lame, or what, I have no clue!)

Our Anniversary
"Amazed" by Lonestar
(I think my parents were amazed that I went through with it, HA)

Natalie's Birthday
"No Scrubs" by TLC
(perhaps because the doctor's had no time to put on scrubs before she came out, hehehe)

Kaitlyn's Birthday
"Ain't It Funny" by Jennifer Lopez featuring Ja Rule
(I certainly don't remember finding anything funny that day)

CJ's Birthday
"Crank That (Soulja Boy)" by Soulja Boy Tell'em
(Hmmmm, I have no clue what this song is, but I guess it's fitting)

I hope you're enjoying these fun quizzes and #1 songs from my life. Remember, I want to see if you post about yours so leave me a comment and I'll come take a peek.
