We had Kaitlyn's PPT today. It was mostly just to make everything official. We've discussed things in length over the past week or so about Kaitlyn anyways. They told us what kind of testing they'll be doing on Kaitlyn. They are going to give her a sort of IQ test which will include some stuff with memory and cognitive ability. She will get some phonemic awareness testing and they will test her reading in many different ways. They have 45 days to do all of this, but 45 days brings us right to the last day of school. We will meet again on June 9th to officially discuss results, but I was told the school psychologist will be in touch with me to go over everything before we even meet in June. I feel good that we are moving forward with this because I really feel like this could give us some answers about what's going on with her. Even if she doesn't qualify for any sort of special ed services I'm confident that this will shed some light on what's going on.
